THE NEW BELGRADE SPORTS CENTER
The New Belgrade Sports Center is one of the best equipped sports centers in Serbia, the largest one and the only one with outdoor and indoor pools in New Belgrade.
It was established by the local government in 1979. and it is situated on the top of the hill, in the peaceful and quiet place where whole families entertain and enjoy themselves and spend their free time in numerous sports activities.
The tradition of hosting championships, such as Europian Sambo Championship, Belgrade International Shooting Championship, EYOF etc. is something our Sports Center is well known. We open our door to musicians from all over the world. One remembers the famous concerts in New Belgrade Sports Hall such as Blondie, The Stranglers, Faithless, The Cool And the Gang, Bryan Adams, The Cranbberies etc.
We should not forget the recreation. Those who are not professional athletes can also find their place using the center's facilities: the great hall, the basketball and volleyball hall, two fitness centers, gym, room for table tennis, three tennis courts, the firing range and, of course, three outdoor and three indoor pools.
And still, that is not all; The New Belgrade Sports Center organizes sports tournaments for children and pupils, as well as swimming and table tennis schools. Several soccer, basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis and martial art clubs also use center's facilities for their professional activities and schools.
New Belgrade is the biggest municipality on Balkans, more than 200 000 people live here, and over 500 000 citizens daily gravitate to it. So it is only natural that more than 500 000 people of all ages take part in different competitions and sports activities guided by experts in our sports center every year.
